Tren turun USD/MXN sedang mengumpulkan momentum, meskipun indikator Relative Strength Index (RSI) menampilkan pasangan mata uang ini dalam kondisi oversold (jenuh jual). Namun, karena kuatnya pergerakan tersebut, para pedagang memperkirakan pembacaan RSI yang oversold di 20.00 karena pasangan mata uang eksotik ini menyelam untuk menguji level terendah tahun lalu di 16.62. Setelah level tersebut terlampaui, pemberhentian berikutnya adalah terendah Oktober 2015 di 16,32.
Meskipun demikian, mereka perlu merebut kembali angka 17,00, yang dapat membuka kemungkinan untuk menguji Simple Moving Average (SMA) 50-hari di 17,04, diikuti oleh pertemuan SMA 200-hari dan SMA 100-hari di 17,23.
