Inflasi melambat namun Ueda mengambil nada hawkish
Di sisi data, Indeks Harga Konsumen Nasional (CPI) Jepang untuk bulan Maret meningkat sebesar 2,7% tahun-ke-tahun, dibandingkan dengan kenaikan 2,8% pada bulan Februari, menurut Biro Statistik Jepang.
Meskipun terjadi penurunan inflasi yang terlihat dalam data, Gubernur Bank of Japan (BoJ) Kazuo Ueda mengeluarkan retorika hawkish yang mendukung Yen Jepang. Ueda mengatakan bank sentral mungkin mempertimbangkan untuk menaikkan suku bunga lagi jika penurunan signifikan dalam Yen menyebabkan inflasi terkait mata uang, menurut Reuters
