Ang nangungunang diplomat ng pera ng Japan, si Masato Kanda, na magtuturo sa BoJ na mamagitan, kapag hinuhusgahan niya ito na kinakailangan, ay tumanggi na kumpirmahin kung ang mga awtoridad ng Japan ay pumasok sa foreign exchange (FX) market noong Huwebes kasunod ng matinding pagpapalakas ng Yen.
