双管齐下！为应对疫情，美联储启动零利率及新一轮量化宽松
上周日，美联储发布紧急公告，宣布把利率降至零，以应对疫情引发的混乱局面。这是自2008年金融危机以来，首次实行零利率。
不到两周时间，美联储突然决定降息50个基点，实际上是将利率下调了100个基点。
美联储通过购买至少7,000亿美元资产来启动量化宽松政策。此计划包括在未来数月购买5,000亿美元美国国债，增持至少2000亿美元规模的抵押担保证券(mbs)。
美联储主席杰罗姆·鲍威尔表示：“美联储将以强劲的速度买进，使市场功能和流动性尽快恢复... ...在经济难关没有安全度过、就业和物价没有走上正轨之前，美联储将一直保持该最低利率水平。
零利率对借款人非常重要，降息可以缓解他们的压力。另一方面，当冠状病毒减弱，经济开始恢复后，零利率也能更有力的促进经济恢复。”
然而，一些分析师认为，美联储的该决定已经错过最佳决策时机。美国总统唐纳德·特朗普也就此批评了鲍威尔，认为他花了太长时间来做降息决定。
