新华社新德里11月7日消息，印度空间研究组织7日利用一枚PSLV-C49型极地卫星运载火箭，成功发射了10颗卫星，其中包括1颗印度的地球观测卫星EOS-01，另有9颗国际商业卫星。据印度空间研究组织消息，当地时间7日下午，上述运载火箭从印度东南部安得拉邦斯里赫里戈达岛上的萨蒂什·达万航天中心发射升空，随后所有卫星成功与运载火箭分离并进入预定轨道。
据印度媒体报道，EOS-01地球观测卫星总重630公斤，配有合成孔径雷达（SAR），可以在所有天气条件下对地球拍照，用于农业、林业和灾害监测等领域。其他9颗国际商业卫星中各有4颗分别来自卢森堡和美国，还有1颗卫星属于立陶宛。
