东亚银行：预计2024年香港经济实质增长3.5% 略高于2023年
东亚银行(00023)首席经济师蔡永雄表示，2024年香港和内地经济将进一步复苏，预计消费零售、旅游及其他服务需求将有所释放，预计2024年香港经济实质增长将达到3.5%，略高于2023年全年表现。此外，他指出，2024年环球经济将维持低增长格局，各经济体的复苏动力呈明显分化，IMF预测环球经济增长轻微放缓至2.9%。
蔡永雄称，在内部消费和旅游业复苏的带动下，2023年香港经济持续复苏，首三季经济增长平均达2.8%，全年增长预测为3.3%。受全球货币紧缩和经济下行压力加大的影响，香港本地经济和服务业全面复苏仍需要时间，这也导致全年经济增长逊于年初预期。
回顾2023年，尽管全球经济较预期更具韧性，但不稳定因素仍持续，2023年全球通胀普遍见顶回落。展望未来，日本的情况不同，他预料日本央行将渐进退出超宽松的货币政策、结束孳息曲线控制和负利率政策。
蔡永雄提及，货币紧缩政策的影响持续浮现，美国多项消费物价已有所回落，预期2024年美国通胀率将逐步回落，，今年美国经济增长预计将降至低于趋势增长约1.3%，且经济硬着陆的风险不高。
