Pasardana.id - Harga minyak dunia niak pada Kamis (11/1/2024) dipicu meningkatnya tensi geopolitik di Timur Tengah.

Seperti dilansir Reuters, harga minyak West Texas Intermediate (WTI) untuk pengiriman Februari 2024 naik 65 sen, atau sekitar 0,9 persen, menjadi US$72,02 per barel di New York Mercantile Exchange.

Harga minyak mentah Brent untuk pengiriman Maret 2024 meningkat 61 sen, atau sekitar 0,8 persen, menjadi US$77,41 per barel di London ICE Futures Exchange.

Iran telah menyita kapal tanker yang berisikan minyak mentah dari Irak yang hendak dikirimkan ke Turki sebagai balasan penyitaan kapal tanker yang mengirimkan minyak Iran tahun lalu oleh Amerika Serikat.

Ketegangan di Timur Tengah sebelumnya telah mencuat usai kelompok militer Houthi melakukan penyerangan terhadap kapal-kapal yang melintasi Laut Merah.
